Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is back and this around he gets in trouble in a much bigger way. There is a mutant called Cable (Josh Brolin) who looking for another mutant. A young boy that could emit fire from his hands. He poses a threat to the human race. In the future, the young boy becomes something more. An evil mutant that eventually kills Cable's family, if not stopped.
"And that's why "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is pure pornography." -Deadpool-
"I really should've stayed in college...." -Domino-
Along the way, Deadpool manages to get himself into a huge mess and gets the woman of his dreams killed. Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) is on the same page with Wade / Deadpool (Reynolds), they both want a child; But unfortunately, our hero has killed too many bad guys. These men are powerful, without moral compasses. They will continue to kill for anything that is deemed a threat.
Anyway, I went into the story too much, my apologies. Hell! No! To bad if you've read this then you want more.
This film had more than Infinity War, it had a story which Infinity War lacked. At least with Deadpool, he goes in with something. Kill or be killed. Find the enemy and extract the information. Deadpool managed to go through the three Acts perfectly. Funny, the action was mixed in nicely. The serious sequences were serious, but with a tone in which only Ryan Reynolds could pull off acting wise.
Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz) did an amazing job. Their performances made it feel like you were actually in the scene. Granted Wade continues to break the fourth wall. In the acting business, this means the actor will address the audience; And in the case of Deadpool 2, it's a huge deal. The audience now is pulled into a movie. Cable came in from the future, which Deadpool addressed in a funny way.
Negasonic (Brianna Hildebrand), Vanisher (Brad Pitt), Zeitgeist (Bill Skarsgard), Weasel (T.J. Miller), Bedlam (Terry Crews), Russell (Julian Dennison), Shatterstar (Lewis Tan), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Redneck #2 (Matt Damon), and Alan Tudyk. And the master himself, Peter (Rob Delaney). All of these actors had small parts, and guess what it was done well. The scenes were amazing. refreshing to see a film balance other characters as well. They made sense and all of them worked off each other. This film had absolutely, zero plot holes. Both Deadpool #1 and #2 both complement each other, unlike the Marvel Infinity War which is all over the place and some connections were ridiculas.
All in all this film really does a wonderful job of creating a story that isn't complex, but it manages to pull you in as it begins from the credits. Reynolds does a great job creating a superhero world: The people around him work well off of each other which is wonderful in everyway. Look it's a badass superhero with a mouth. A rated R film that hopefully manages to pull off an incredible feat. Deadpool 2 is a great film, it's not all action wise which is good, it keeps you going along with the humor. Unlike Thor Ragnorock which didn't take itself seriously and managed to suck badly. To me, this film was better than the first; Check it out, go see it and hit me up when you do.
